This website is static. It uses no cookies, no analytics and no ad networks. We do not collect or store any personal data ourselves.

When you visit these pages, our hosting provider 1blu GmbH (Berlin, Germany) processes technically necessary server log data (e.g. IP address, time of access) on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR to deliver and secure the service.

The Foto Notes app (iOS and Android)

The app works without an account and without a server of our own. Your photos and videos arenever transmitted to us or to third parties — they stay in your device's photo library or gallery and, on iOS, optionally also in your own iCloud Drive.

Camera and location access are used exclusively for taking photos and embedding the location; the microphone is used only for the sound of videos (iOS) and only with your permission. When stamping existing photos, the app reads the date and location from the metadata of the images you select. To resolve the address, the map thumbnail and (Pro) the weather, only the coordinates are sent to the map service of the respective platform: Apple on iOS (Maps, WeatherKit), Google on Android (Geocoding, Maps Static API, Weather API). No location history or movement profile is created.

The check-in log and its proof photos are stored locally. They are backed up to your own account: to iCloud on iOS, and on Android via Android backup to your Google account. We do not receive this data.

Purchases are handled exclusively by the App Store or Google Play; we receive no payment data. The app shows no ads and contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. No usage profiles are created and no data is shared with ad networks.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
